Author David Reddish has announced the forthcoming sequel to Sex, Drugs & Superheroes is finally complete!  Conquest of the Planet of the Geeks is undergoing revision and editorial review with a release date to follow!

Author David Reddish appeared alongside noted New York artist Jackson Eather to announce the adaptation of Reddish’s highly-acclaimed novel into comic book form!  A special spotlight panel, moderated by author Peter Sanez (Coven of Wolves) debuted finalized and concept art from the work-in progress and featured a Q&A session with Reddish and Eather discussing their collaboration, the development of the adaptation, and the impact of the original novel.

The panel also featured the world premiere of the trailer for Sex, Drugs & Superheroes: The Graphic Novel slated for wide release in late 2013.  Featuring finalized pages as well as concept art, the footage teased the overall tone and themes of the adaptation.

Reddish also confirmed a film adaptation had reached the pre-production phase in early 2013, and though that proposed version had not come to fruition, he still retained all rights to the novel and continues sporadic work on a movie version.  He also confirmed plans for two sequels to Sex, Drugs & Superheroes as well as their comic book adaptations in the works, though, the author confessed “I’m just not ready to write them yet.” 

Reddish has promised further updates on the status of Sex, Drugs & Superheroes: The Graphic Novel as well as the future of the property in the coming months.
